Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is for people who face difficulties such as feelings of anxiety, depression, panic attacks, phobias, emptiness, or lgbtqi + issues but also for people who are just looking for new, more productive ways to approach the issues that concern them. It is a place where you can gain better insight and awareness of your needs, discover the patterns that you inadvertently reproduce and get trapped in and make positive changes in your lives. Through psychotherapy you can achieve a healthier, more responsible and happier life.
LGBTQi+
The main issues that LGBTQi + individuals are concerned by are based on sexual orientation and gender identity. Oftentimes they face issues such as the effects of discrimination, anxiety, depression, some physical symptoms, the process of coming out, relationships with family and parents, relationships with partners and significant others. Psychotherapy addressed to LGBTQi + individuals aims, among other things, at their psychological empowerment in matters that may concern them and that may concern their sexual orientation and / or their gender identity
Online psychotherapy
There is the possibility of online sessions for those who live abroad, outside Athens or who due to mobility difficulties can not move from their place
About Me
Specialties
I offer individual sessions of psychodynamic psychotherapy in combination with selective interventions from other approaches. The sessions and the relationship between the therapist and the patient become a place of psychological support and care that creates a safe base from which begins a journey of exploring oneself and the important relationships in life.
Experience
For the last 10 years I have worked in the therapeutic field in public and private institutions with both children and adults. Until 2020 I had my private office in Amsterdam, while from the beginning of 2021 I moved to Athens where I relocated my private practice. In addition, I work as a psychology teacher at the University of Leiden in the Netherlands and at the Metropolitan College of Athens. I coordinate groups of personal development and I supervise students in the Netherlands and Greece in their internships
Education
I obtained a degree in psychology in Greece from Panteion University and a master's degree in Health Psychology from Leiden University in the Netherlands. I have finished my training in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and at the moment I am in the process of obtaining the European Certificate for Psychotherapists. In addition, I hold a license to practice and I am a member of the Association of Greek Psychologists
